About Me
Hi, I’m ZALAN, an experienced music teacher specializing in guitar, piano, and singing. I’ve been teaching beginners and early-intermediate students for several years, both in Hungary and London, focusing on practical skills, technique, and music theory in an approachable and engaging way.
I started my musical journey with formal lessons and self-study. I studied piano and music theory for four years, learned guitar with a teacher and through online resources, and developed my singing with vocal coaches and live performances. This mix of structured learning and self-directed practice gives me a deep understanding of how students learn and how to guide them effectively.
I also have EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE PERFORMING LIVE as a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and busker. Years of performing in front of audiences taught me stage presence, musical intuition, and confidence—skills I bring directly into my teaching. I help students not only learn notes and chords but also perform with confidence and expression.
In my teaching, I focus on building strong foundations while keeping lessons fun and motivating. My students have successfully learned pieces like FUR ELISE and RIVER FLOWS IN YOU, and I tailor every lesson to each student’s goals, pace, and musical interests.
Beyond music, I hold a BLACK BELT IN KYOKUSHIN KARATE with over ten years of experience. Teaching martial arts taught me discipline, patience, and effective ways to help students progress—qualities I apply in all my music lessons.
